Although carefully constructed and arranged with precise lighting and framing, Philip-Lora diCorcia maintains there is no plot in his famous streetworks photographs (shot between 1993 and 1997). "The plot, as such, is generated by the realities at play at the moment"…"I try to leave the meaning as open ended as possible, both as an acknowledgement of my own inability to "define" what we see and the realization that reductive analysis is boring". diCorcia is one of the most influential photographers working today, and his works are held in museum collections like Pompidou, the Met, MoMA, Guggenheim, Tate, and Whitney.
